Andrej Kirbiš

Andrej Kirbiš, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor. He is the author of over eighty original scientific works on political participation, polarization, political culture, and democratic consolidation in post-communist Europe, with a focus on international comparative analyses. His research interests also include the sociology of health, cultural sociology, and environmental sociology, including environmental attitudes and behaviour and social inequalities. He is a co-founder and member of the Centre for the Study of Post-Socialist Societies (CEPSS). He has led research projects funded by ARIS (the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency), the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy of the Republic of Slovenia. In the past six years, he has obtained and led nine research projects worth approximately €1,000,000 and currently leads four research projects.

Monika Lamot

Monika Lamot is an Assistant and PhD candidate at the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor. Her research areas include political sociology and the sociology of health. She focuses on political and other aspects of vaccination attitudes in Slovenian and European public opinion, including the politicisation of pandemics, institutional trust, and polarisation in post-communist countries.

Marija Javornik

Marija Javornik, PhD, is a Full Professor at the Department of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor. She researches pedagogy, didactics, and other aspects of educational process. She has published more than seventy scientific works in the fields of professional development of teachers, didactic methods, and intercultural competences.

Boris Vezjak

Boris Vezjak, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor. His areas of interest include the history of philosophy, discourse theory, media analysis, political analysis, and argumentation theory. He is the author of several books, commentaries, and translations. As an expert on political conditions in Slovenia and a commentator, he also researches radicalisation and violent extremism in Slovenia and rationality in politics and beyond.

Melita Koletnik

Melita Koletnik, PhD, is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Translation Studies at the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor. Her research areas include translation didactics, terminology, and electronic translation tools and resources. She is a member of the Midwest Association of Translators & Interpreters (MATI).
